Machine wash cold or warm on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent and tumble dry low. Avoid bleach and fabric softener. Iron on a low setting if you want a crisper finish.
Cotton relaxes slightly after the first wash. Wash cold and dry low and it will hold its size.

One fibre, no compromises
Most textiles at this price are cotton blended with polyester, because polyester is cheap and holds a press. It also traps heat and holds odour. We use cotton on its own.

Shipping is free on every order to Canada, with no minimum spend. All orders are processed in 1–3 working days on average and then shipped out to anywhere in Canada.
Every order ships with a track & trace link. Parcels are declared so you should not be asked for customs duties — if you ever are, send us the receipt and we'll refund it. We currently ship to Canada only.
Returns — 100 Nights
Take 100 nights to decide. If it isn't right, email support@borealloom.com with your order number and we'll arrange a return, exchange or store credit. Returns need to be approved first and may travel to a warehouse outside Canada; return postage is yours if you've simply changed your mind, and ours if the item arrived damaged, defective or incorrect. Yes — no polyester, no blend. Blending in polyester makes fabric cheaper and helps it hold a press, but it also traps heat and holds odour. Pure cotton breathes, stays comfortable across the year and gets better with use.
Everything is pre-washed before it ships, so any relaxation has already happened. Wash cold and dry on low and it will hold its size. Hot water and a hot dryer are what cause shrinkage in natural fibres.
It's a transitional scarf — excellent from September to November and again in spring, and good indoors all year. For -25 °C you'll want wool over it. Cotton's advantage is that it never makes you sweat the moment you go inside.
