Built for Both Ends of the Year
The all-season cut is layered a little heavier than our classic muslin bathrobe, so it holds warmth on a cold morning — but because every layer is still open muslin, it never becomes the sweaty robe you take straight off in summer. Khaki, Light Grey, White and Blue, sizes M to XXL.

THE PROCESS
How our Muslin is Made
-
It starts with the boll
Natural cotton is harvested, cleaned and spun into fine, even yarn. No synthetics, no blends — just cotton.
-
Then it gets woven
The yarn runs through looms set to an open, multi-layer muslin structure. That open gauze is where the breathability comes from.
-
Washed and finished
Every piece is pre-washed, then checked by hand before it ships. Soft on arrival, softer with every wash after.

OUR STORY
Made for the warm side of the door
Boreal Loom began in Vancouver in 2019, in the middle of a long, wet winter — with one blanket, and one question: why shouldn’t everyday comfort feel this good?
Every piece since has been chosen for a moment rather than a specification. The evening on the sofa. The slow morning. The cold night that stays outside.
Because when it’s cold out there, what happens in here matters more.

Frequently Asked Questions
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and hang to dry. Skip the fabric softener and the hot dryer. Muslin is one of the few fabrics that genuinely improves with washing — it gets softer every cycle.
Yes, and that's the main reason we use it. The open weave lets air move through instead of trapping it, so it cools you in summer and holds warmth in winter without ever feeling stifling. In a Canadian home that goes from -20 °C outside to overheated inside, that matters more than raw thickness.
Both are cotton, but muslin is woven in an open, multi-layer structure. That makes it breathable, hypoallergenic and gentle enough for sensitive skin and for babies. Unlike synthetics it doesn't trap heat or hold odour, it regulates temperature naturally, and it softens with age instead of pilling and breaking down. It's also free of harsh chemical finishes, which is a healthier choice for the people who actually sleep under it.
More layers, so more warmth, with the same breathability. Take the classic if your bathroom is warm and you mainly want something absorbent; take this if you want a robe you'll still wear in February.
Shipping is free anywhere in Canada. Orders are processed in 1–3 working days and travel for 6–10 more, so most arrive within 8 to 14 working days with a tracking link. See our Shipping Policy for the full detail.
