What is Coral Fleece?
Warmth without weight
Coral fleece is a knitted pile fabric: thousands of fine fibres are looped and then brushed so they stand up. Those raised fibres trap a layer of air against you, which is what does the insulating — not the weight of the fabric.
Why we use it
- Genuinely warm — a thin fleece layer holds more heat than a much heavier woven blanket.
- Soft on contact — no scratch, no break-in period. It feels finished on day one.
- Dries fast and washes easily — it takes very little water, so it's back on the sofa the same day.
- Doesn't pill or shed the way cheap fleece does — the pile is longer and more densely set.

Standard shipping is free on every order to Canada, with no minimum spend.
Orders are processed in 1–3 working days and travel for another 6–10 working days, so most parcels arrive within 8 to 14 working days. Monogrammed items need an extra 2–4 working days for embroidery. Remote areas and the Territories can take a little longer.
Every order ships with a track & trace link. Parcels are declared so you should not be asked for customs duties — if you ever are, send us the receipt and we'll refund it. We currently ship to Canada only.
Returns — 100 Nights
Take 100 nights to decide. If it isn't right, email support@borealloom.com with your order number and we'll arrange a return, exchange or store credit. Returns need to be approved first and may travel to a warehouse outside Canada; return postage is yours if you've simply changed your mind, and ours if the item arrived damaged, defective or incorrect. Materials
Deep-Pile Coral Fleece
Brushed on both sides into a long, dense pile, then sheared to an even finish. The raised fibres hold a layer of air against you, which is what does the warming — so it heats like a much heavier blanket while staying light enough to fall asleep under. Four sizes up to 200×230 cm, and it fits a standard washing machine.

How our Fleece is Made

Knitted, not woven
Fine yarn is knitted into a dense base. The knit is what gives fleece its give and its drape.

Brushed into pile
The surface is brushed on both sides to raise the fibres. This is the step that creates the air pocket and the softness.

Sheared and finished
The pile is sheared to an even height, washed, and inspected by hand so the surface stays uniform after washing.

No. Fleece insulates by holding a layer of air in the brushed pile rather than by being heavy, so it warms you without the weight or the clamminess of a thick woven blanket. It also breathes, which is why it doesn't get stuffy the way a synthetic quilt does.
Not the way cheap fleece does. The pile here is longer and set more densely, and it's sheared to an even height before it ships. You may see a little loose fibre in the first wash or two — that's the surface settling, and it stops.
Full (120×200 cm) is a generous single. Queen (150×200 cm) covers two people on a sofa. King (180×200 cm) and King XL (200×230 cm) are sized to drape over a bed. The honest advice: buy one size up from what you think you need.
